Chatsworth Road Festival 2015
Thank you to all that attended the Chatsworth Road Festival.
Over 2000 people attended the third annual Chatsworth Road Festival (ChatsFest), celebrating the area’s undeniably diverse community.
The one day event in the heart of East London started with a roller hockey match by the local Lee Valley Lions and featured live bands, a boxing ring, sumo wrestling, and a dog show with over 25 entrants, as well as street food stalls and bars provided by Frockney Rebel and Beavertown Brewery. Alzheimer’s UK were also there as the ChatsFest official charity 2015.
Organisers say this year superseded expectations, with more guests than before and more businesses, community groups and residents involved than the previous years.
One of the organisers, said:
“I was born and bred in Hackney and this festival very much represents everything I love about this community. The different generations and cultures, all coming together to create something positive, it makes me very proud to be from this area.
I’m amazed at the number of people who have turned up this year; [ChatsFest] has grown immensely over the three years but has kept the community at its heart. The street is heaving, just like it was in the 80s when the festival first started.”!
Hope to see you all at the next event coming soon!
